Investors scope out Azuero for wind energy project

 
In Mandinga, mountaintops reach 700 meters and beyond, and the amount of air flow is sufficient for developing wind energy projects, experts say.
 
Site visits to identify possible locations for future wind energy projects were initiated in the mountain range of Mandinga, a small chain of hills located in the village of Llano de Piedras, Macaracas district, where there are reportedly strong wind currents.

The information was confirmed byh Abel Domínguez, owner of one of the farms in the massif in mention, who further disclosed that a group of European investors are interested in exploring the site for a potential wind energy project.

The farmer added that the area boasts with mountains reaching 700 meters high and above, and sufficient air flow to develop this type of project.
